As you may have heard, the FDA began investigating reports of patients across multiple states becoming ill after receiving fake Botox (19 reports). Some of the reports have come from Florida, which may make you second guess your own decision to receive Botox – or really any injectable. For all YHDerm patients, let us put your concern to rest and explain the steps we take to ensure your safety.
YHDerm & Supply Chain Quality
First and foremost, we ONLY purchase all injectables directly from the manufacturer. We never purchase “gray-market” or online products. In the case of Botox, the manufacturer is Allergan/AbbVie. In the case of Dysport, the manufacturer is Galderma. We purchase directly from these manufacturers to ensure product authenticity and patient safety. Products are shipped via FedEx directly to our office – no intermediary and no storage facilities. We receive authentic packing slips and invoices that detail the lot number and expiration date of each vial or syringe.
This is the same process for ALL our injectable products. We primarily purchase from 5 injectable product manufacturers, and the process described above is the same for each manufacturer. We never buy from discounters, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), or online suppliers.

Your medical records are meticulous and detail each injectable by brand name, lot number, expiration date, dosage given, area treated and patient response/result.
Avoid Fake Botox
By choosing YHDerm, you have already made the most important decision to avoid not only fake Botox, but fake anything. Most, if not all, of the fake Botox was provided in non-clinical, unlicensed settings like homes, salons, spas, etc. In many cases the price was “too good to be true” – literally.
