Sofwave - Skin Tightening
Sofwave™ Skin Tightening is an FDA cleared for remodeling collagen, which improves facial lines and wrinkles, and lifts the eyebrows, under chin, and neck area.
Sofwave uses synchronous ultrasound to reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as lift the eyebrows, neck and submental area (under the chin). The treatment is also helpful for jowling. It can be used on any skin type or color. As a a non-invasive treatment, patients can return to their normal activities immediately following their treatment. You will walk out of our office looking the same as when you walked in.
But after 30-90 days you will see the transformation as wrinkles, lines, and folds soften and become less noticeable. Studies show that best results are achieved with 2-3 treatments done about 6 weeks apart.
While initially approved for the face and neck, we have seen great wonderful results in the abdomen area as well. It does not remove fat, but improves skin laxity by tightening and lifting skin in the treated area.

How long does it take to see results?
Immediate results can be seen as soon as one week following the treatment. However, the collagen regeneration process can sometimes take up to 6 months, so patients are expected to see ongoing improvements in the six month period after their treatment.

What does the Sofwave treatment feel like?
During the 45 minute treatment, patients may feel warmth or heat. We have found that using topical anesthetic and ProNox (laughing gas) effectively manages any discomfort. Following treatment, most patients resume their daily activities and normal skin care regimen. Once completed, patients have no after-effects from either Sofwave or ProNox and can comfortably and safely drive home.
